South Korean prosecutors file petition for arrest of Do Kwon's ex-partner

Bloomberg reports that South Korean prosecutors have requested an arrest warrant for Daniel Shin, Do Kwon's former partner and co-founder of Terraform Labs. He is charged with fraud and dereliction of duty. Earlier in December 2022, the court rejected an earlier attempt by prosecutors to obtain a warrant for Sheen's arrest, saying it was hard to imagine he could escape or destroy evidence.

Sheen's lawyers say he left Terraform Labs in 2020 and has not been involved in its activities since. However, after Do Kwon's arrest in Montenegro, the South Korean prosecutor's office requested a new arrest warrant for Shin. Do Kwon was arrested for trying to leave Montenegro with forged documents and was wanted by international law enforcement agencies for more than six months.
