Research: Every third video about cryptocurrencies on TikTok contains false information

CoinTelegraph reports that more than a third of crypto influencers on TikTok have posted misleading videos about bitcoin, other cryptocurrencies and investing in them, which can lead to loss of money. DaapGambl analyzed 1,161 TikTok videos with the #cryptok hashtag and found that more than one in three videos contained misinformation. Only one in 10 crypto accounts or videos contained any form of disclaimer that warned users about the risks of investing in cryptocurrencies. In addition, 47% of TikTok cryptocurrency creators promote their services, which is a concern.
